Match Intro

A bigger frame against a lighter, more mobile opponent: that is the central question as Lucas faces Bart in Group A of DojoLink’s 8-man Beach Wrestling tournament in Breukelen, the Netherlands. Lucas steps onto the sand in black shorts, while Bart enters in blue shorts, with both fighters trying to turn a 5-minute window into control, pressure and scoring pins. This tournament brings together 8 fighters from different martial arts disciplines, divided into Group A and Group B before moving into cross-finals, a placement route and the final matches. Every match lasts 5 minutes. A 3-second pin scores 1 point, and the fighter with the most points after 5 minutes wins. That means every takedown has to be followed by real control on the sand. For Lucas, the path is clear: use size, pressure and stable positioning to stop Bart from creating movement. For Bart, the challenge is to avoid getting trapped underneath, keep the exchanges active and turn every loose position into a scramble. Beach Wrestling makes that battle even harder, because the sand can break rhythm, punish overcommitment and make every pin attempt difficult to secure cleanly.
