Submission Wrestling: Ettore vs. Rusalen

This GRPL Submission Wrestling match is fought over 3 rounds of up to 5 minutes. Every successful choke submission scores 1 point and immediately ends the round. After 3 rounds, the fighter with the most points wins the match.

Ettore vs Rusalen brings GRPL choke-only Submission Wrestling back to Turin, Italy, for a Judo vs Judo matchup between an experienced GRPL regular and a powerful newcomer looking to build on an explosive debut. After making his first GRPL appearance against Andres, Rusalen returns to the Turin dojo with momentum. This time, the challenge changes completely. Across the mat stands Ettore, one of the most experienced fighters from our Italian series and someone who has already faced a wide range of opponents under the GRPL ruleset. Physically, the matchup is remarkably even. Ettore and Rusalen are the same height and compete at almost exactly the same weight. That removes many of the usual physical excuses and puts the focus on judo timing, pressure, transitions, composure, and the ability to create a clean choke when an opening appears.
