Submission Wrestling: Rens vs. Sven

Match Intro

Rens vs Sven is a GRPL choke-only Submission Wrestling match from the DojoLink Open Mat at Health Center Breukelen, built around a clear Judo vs Judo storyline: Sven makes his GRPL debut, while Rens steps back onto the mat looking to prove that his winning form is still there. For Sven, this is the first real test under the GRPL ruleset. A first appearance always comes with pressure, especially in a format where normal judo dominance does not automatically score. Throws, pins, and control can create openings, but the match only changes when a fighter finishes a successful choke. For Rens, the pressure comes from a different place. He is already known in the GRPL community, but his last win was a few months ago. That makes this match important. Rens needs to show that his judo timing, pressure, and experience can still turn into real submission danger when the rules remove every scoring option except the choke. This is a 1-round, 7-minute Submission Wrestling match. The rules are choke-only, and the fighter with the most successful choke submissions after 7 minutes wins. If the score is tied after regulation time, both fighters take a short break before Golden Score begins. In Go
