Match Intro

Beach Wrestling meets Judo pressure as Jaïr and Rens face off in Group B of DojoLink’s 8-man tournament in Breukelen, the Netherlands. Jaïr enters the sand circle in black shorts as a Judo Black Belt, while Rens steps in wearing blue shorts, setting up a 5-minute match where throws, balance and 3-second pins can decide the momentum fast. This tournament brings together 8 fighters from different martial arts disciplines, divided into Group A and Group B before moving into cross-finals, a placement route and the final matches. Every match lasts 5 minutes. A 3-second pin scores 1 point, and the fighter with the most points after 5 minutes wins. That means a big throw can create momentum, but the score only comes when the control is strong enough to hold the pin. For this Group B matchup, the Judo connection makes the details even more important. Jaïr brings Black Belt experience and a clear size advantage, while Rens has to rely on timing, movement and clean reactions to avoid being trapped after the first exchange. On sand, even strong Judo skills have to adapt: grips feel different, balance breaks faster, and every throw must be followed by stable top pressure. Which Judo detail
